Health Insurance Coverage

Hi folks,

I'm moving to Vietnam in a couple of weeks for work. I'm hoping to stay for a minimum of two years, that's why one of my main concerns is getting a health insurance plan.

Even though I will be granted social insurance under the Vietnamese Labor Law, I have read that some national hospitals don't meet Western standards.

Would anyone recommend me a health insurance coverage? I'm looking for medical assistance in case of emergency or sickness, I wouldn't need outpatient/specialist coverage.

I have checked with Pacific Cross (former Blue Cross) and Liberty, but wanted to hear about more options since I have to cover these expenses and I am looking for a well-balanced affordable rate.

Thanks in advance

Just purchase Cigna Global out of the UK...a bit pricey but happy with Cigna, insurance is always a roll of the dice..want the best for the family and added evacuation coverage. Good Luck

My company use William Russell, they seem to offer a good service at an affordable rate. One of our staff members had a health issue that wasn't covered by them, but they still paid 70% of the cost. I would definitely advise getting some sort of cover as the roads here are really dangerous and if you do encounter a problem the bills can be phenomenal.
