We have been talking about loneliness when you are abroad, let's now talk about how to make friends (locals or expatriates) when you're living in Hokkaido

Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in Hokkaido??

I think join a local group which shares your hobby, when you are not good at Japanese, some kind of sport related group is much easier. Usually local gymnasiums or community centers have hours which open to public divided into different activities. I think visiting the regions official website helps or maybe the townhall I'm pretty sure they can provide the information you need!
