Hi everyone this is Roni here
I came to Bahrain last year and would like to go back to India  however when I spoke to my HR regarding this he said I will have to pay my visa charges which is around 172 dinar as it was paid by the company for a 2 year contract I told him as per rule if am completely 1 year I am not supposed to pay anything then he said he doesn't care about the rule as I already have signed a contract with the company appreciate your help in this what options do I have if I have to do this legally.

logicalindian

Hi,

Unfortunately since you have singed a 2 years contract, the employer always has the upper hand, LMRA clearly states that employer can sue for damages if you breach the contract
http://lmra.bh/portal/en/faq/question/13

so if you have to legally exit you need to pay, if you exit without employer consent you could be blacklisted and then in the future it would be difficult for you to come back,

U can easily transfer the visa just speak to you employer and they might release you and your new employer  have go for mobility option to transfer your  current visa to theirs

Hello,

If your current employer gives you the consent/no objection then it is possible to apply for mobility, if you dont have your current employers consent you must complete at least 12 months
