Very nice article. And not that old ;)

I think it's an interesting article and it's on track. Since we decided to actually move to buenos aires six monts ago when I first started my blog,  I've seen an explosion of blogs for Bs.As. I think that the blogs are definately a way for people to feel connected to home and vent their experiences as well as share a different lifestyle  with other people who are intersested in learning about other countries and cultures in our increasingly smaller world.

I agree completely. This article brings up a lot of good points about why many expats enjoy blogging. I'm sure that most of us on here can relate.

When I started, there were only a handful of blogs from Papua New Guinea - but I've also seen a huge explosion in the last few months. It's really becoming quite common. And I can certainly understand why!

I hadn't seen that one -- thanks for posting the link.

I have to say that I can identify with quite a lot of it.  I know that personally I try to be "observational" without constantly complaining.  And for me, it's a good way for my friends & family to keep up with me when I don't have time to write each and every one.

By the way, it was my British husband who urged me to start blogging last year.  He kept saying to me, "You should write about that.." when I would tell him about my days in the UK.  So I did!
