Il be movin' to Louisiana next month and I was thinking of meeting new friends there. I am also looking for a FIL-American community in Louisiana wherein I can join and meet new faces. Can you help me?

Where are you moving in Louisiana? It is an interesting state with a wide variety of people. The above poster is right! People will literally walk up to you and start a conversation with you just because they feel like being friendly. Even the bigger cities have a small town feel.

It is a fun place to visit although I can speak about living there. New Orleans is a cultural mecca. You must visit if you have yet to. It is beautiful (except for Bourbon street), and it is always lively.
