Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in the Maryland??

Find hobbies and get involved in group activities, if you don't go to church or have children in school. If you live in the suburbs people tend to keep to themselves so this is the only way to meet people.

For the most part, people in Maryland(MD) are pretty friendly so it's fairly easy to make friends.  You can meet friends by being social and going to clubs or bars.  Another great way to make friends is through school or work.  You can also meet people through activities for example: Playing sports.

Go to the gym, shop in Whole Foods, jog down the Capital Crescent Trail...

I have found Marylanders to be pretty uppity.  Local americans are not as friendly.  Foreigners are better.
