Hi, I am looking into possibly moving to the DR while teaching online. I already have the teaching job, but am not sure of the best internet providers and best areas for good connection and internet speed (hopefully AT LEAST a 6mbps download speed, preferably 10mbps).

Could anybody recommend some good service providers and what I could expect to pay for that kind of download speed?

Any geographical recommendations?

Good internet is available in most cities and tourist areas. Providers change by area but claro/codetel is widely available. I have 10 down and 1 up, tax in is under $50us.

Yes depending on where you are you will be able to get the speed you need in most areas

I was planning on moving to Las Terrenas. I haven't heard good things about the internet there, though. If anybody has had any experience or has any information to offer, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
