Post new topic

vsimple

Allowance rules for bringing in stuff from abroad via airport have been updated and for the better. I'll list the items even if there wasn't a change so people can know what is allowable.  You can also bring one item of the following with no tax: Telescope, Desktop computer.

Thank you, Ecuador.  :one:heart:

Exercise/Sporting Equipment
Before: Not on the list
Now: 3 different types of equipment or accessories. In other words, three in total, so 1 equipment, 2 accessories for example.

Television:
Before: 24 Inches
Now: 32 inches

Computer Monitor
Before: 22 inches
Now: 24 inches new or old
note: I had no problem bringing in 24 inches monitors previously, and once searched by customs, and I told them it's 24 inches, as was indicated in big bold numbers on the box. I had no problem, and no tax.

Drone:
Before: Not on the list
Now: up to $500 value

Vitamins
Before: Not on the list
Now: Non-commercial quantity

Musical Instruments
Before: 2 instruments and/or 2 accessories
Now: 2 instruments with or without accessories. And 2 additional accessories that are not with the main instruments.

Thanks for the new information.  There were a couple of things I was getting ready to check into - specifically our two guitars.
