Depends where you live and if you have places for both children. If you have places for only one child then no. Bad idea to split family.

My son goes to Catteau aurore and let me tell you, it is not an easy school to get accepted in (got him into waiting list even before he was born) but in general it is one of the best schools in brussels.

Why it is different? because they are:

1- Old school type of educational institute.
2- They want to keep a high rate among schools and students' educational level in brussels.
3- You need to work hard along with your kid with their education.

As for French, my son picked up French in less than 1 year and now speaking French fluently.

Just to give you a comparison between Catteau aurore and Bois de la cambre no.8, in 2017 schools grading:
Catteau aurore got 18/20.
Bois de la cambre no.8 got 8/20.

There are no grades for schools here they are illegal  did you make them up?

Entry to catteau aurore is b phone no enrolments at birth.

You may have been confused by classement des ecoles which gives a number out of 20 for the average socio economic status of the average child in a school. This was last calculated I believe in 2011 and you can find s national map by Googling. It is completely unconnected with academic results where we it is illegal to publish results and you cannot even publish all kids got ceb. In the 2011 classement both catteau aurore and bois de la camber scored 13.

I repeat entry to ville de  bruxelles communal is uniquely by central telephone at enrolments time and never at birth.

First of all, why the previous replies were deleted :)

2nd, why would "I" be confused with something has nothing to do with the same subject and enter it into the conversation?

3rd, why you're focusing on the last part of my reply to the original post, is beyond my knowledge!

As i said in my previous comment, i will scan the list and put it in a comment as mentioned earlier.

Most importantly, what happened with the summer weather! :)

Indeed, you cannot register your child for Catteau at or before birth. Nonsense story. It is a communal school and you can only call from the first Monday of the new year to register. It is super hard to get registered. We had to call over 500 times to get someone on the line!!! So for people reading this update from the gentleman above, don't believe him because it is simply not true when it comes to the registration part.
