I Have been here since last Oct. and I will complete my 182 days for this year in July . I am planning to go back for 19 days in August . So will I be still considered resident for year 2017 as I have already completed 182 days or the counter will be reset and I will be considered Non Resident ?
Will it have any effect for my residence status for year 2018 ?

My take on this is that as long as you have already been employed in Malaysia for more than 182 days and paying tax, then you have demonstrated tax residency. So your absence does not affect your tax situation.
