Dependent visa to Working visa in PNG

Post new topic

Hi everyone!

My name is Angel and I am from the Philippines. My husband had worked before in Papua New Guinea and now he is planning to return with me. He had a very good job offer we can't resist. As of now, our papers were already on process. My question is, can I work also in Papua New Guinea considering my visa is dependent?

I really want to work also in PNG because I knew it will be very boring if I only stayed in the house, besides additional income will be of great help if I will work also.

You can not work in PNG with a dependent visa.  However you can apply for a work visa if you have someone to sponsor you.  So if you locate a good job, perhaps the company can sponsor your visa.

Hi Stevehigh,
Thanks for the reply. If I got a job there with a dependent visa, you mean the employer will be the one to process my working visa? I have read that if you will work there with a dependent visa, you need to go back to the Philippines for the processing and requirements. Is that true?
