Bank Accounts access after a spouse death.

Here's a question for all. If you and your spouse have your own bank accounts (2-3 accounts) in Vietnam and one passed away, can the other spouse have access to the decease accounts? Do you need a power of attorney or some kind of documents to get the money of the decease. In the USA all you need is a will/power of attorney. You don't want to give to the banks! What is Vietnam procedures.

Go to your bank, they have a document you can complete to have this done. Make sure you take your passport for ID.
