Give notice or leave?

Hi I need advice. I work at an English language school in Dammam and I will need to leave my job here early due to a very good job offer back in the U.S.

I came on a multiple entry work-visitor visa and I do not have an Iqama.  My school has a reputation of not paying teachers their final paycheck or withholding money at the end for various reasons.

I've read various things about not needing to give notice if you don't have an iqama.

Can I legally leave without notice? I know I can leave anytime I want, but can they keep my pay and security deposit if I do without notice?

thanks

I have one question for you please. As you do not have iqama what have you done for housing? I can t answer you question but if it was up to me i would prevent the school that i m leaving. It seems to me abnormal to quit without saying nothing.

the school provides housing.

The school has a reputation for withholding teachers final pay. If I were to give notice, I would likely work an additional 2 weeks then not paid for it.
