Private companies do this type of work. They do not employ foreigners. LV electrician cannot find work in Malaysia. The reason is also because only large local firms or international companies are allowed to employ foreigners.

Mostly private companies do this type of work. They do not often employ foreigners. Only large local firms or international companies are allowed to employ foreigners in Malaysia.

LV electricians cannot find work in Malaysia in construction because the rules in that industry protect Malaysian employees (http://expat-my.com/expatriate/applicat … /appendix/). Electricians must be locally certified for safety reasons - so knowing local languages is important to get the required certifications.

Indian nationals, working under the "Foreign Worker" system, can only work in High Voltage jobs. http://www.mida.gov.my/home/immigration … res/posts/ (read: List of Approved Sector and Countries).
