Johor Bahru/Singapore - Volunteer work

Post new topic

Flora123

Hi all
I am hoping to move to Malaysia in July with my husband who has been offered work in Johor Bahru.  I was hoping to organise some volunteer work for me and wondered if anyone may know of any organisations etc in the JB/Singapore area?  I would ideally be looking for something related to health/social care?
Thank you!

Hi Flora 123. There is an ad in the Star newspaper on a regular basis asking for volunteers to work with recovering stroke victims. I'll find further details for you next week and send them to you.

That's brilliant.  Thanks!

Hi again, I think I might have given you a red herring about voluntary work in JB. However, I've found the number of The National Stroke Association of Malaysia for you to contact for more info.  Sorry about that, I automatically jumped to the conclusion they were asking for help in the JB area,(I must have been having "a senior moment").  The number I'm giving you is for the Kuantan branch, but I'm sure they could put you in touch with someone down here if there is a branch in JB.
The numbers are 09-5668195 or 019-9510012, hope this helps.
                        best regards
                            Dave
