Hi All

We are moving to the Island in November and we will need to furnish the house we rented. Where is the best and most affordable place to shop? We will be in the North so will be handy if the shops in the north offer what we need.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi,
What kind of furniture are you looking for?
There are lots of shops like Courts, www.TFP.mu, www.jkalachand.mu, www.Furniture.mu for ready made furnitures.
There is also lots of people who do furnitures on demand based on your requirements.
Courts can be your 1 stop shop if you are looking for furnish your house. Another contender might be JKalachand. Although they may not be the cheapest place for everything, they will avoid you the hassle of having to look at different shops for specific articles?
Is there anything specific that you are looking for?
When are you coming to Mauritius? You can also hire someone to do your purchases for a small fee and have the house ready for when you arrive.

For bedding accessories like mattresses, etc, I would recommend Kalachand Bedding World

https://www.kalachandbedding.com/products/

For TVs and other household goods, it depends on what you are looking for exactly and the brand. There are many dealers each being an authorized importer and seller of different brands e.g jKalachand, Courts Mauritius, Galaxy, Dragon Electronics, etc.
