Meeting people in the Seychelles

Post new topic

SWest

I visited The Seychelles in 2009 with my late husband and fell in love with the place.

I intend to visit again in April for a holiday with a view to looking at the viability of living there and writing.

As I will be living quite alone, I would like to know if it is easy to meet people in the Seychelles for example are there any places a single person can go to without appearing out of place or odd?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello..

My name is Maggie, 32 yrs old from The Seychelles.
Just saw your add dated a few months ago.  Was wondering if maybe we could be friends.  Did you came to Seychelles in April like you mention?

Well, locals don't normally hang out alone, but since you'll be looked at as a foreigner you won't really look out of place because we're sort of aware that foreigners have a completely different culture.

Clubbing is what people do here to meet others, or just hanging out at the more populated beaches.  I really don't think there's enough singles events here to meet people or to make friends.  Although there are now many decent Seychellois online at social networking sites like Facebook........not sure if that's your scene though.
