UAE Consulate Jeddah - Money Ripper!!!!

Post new topic

NiagraSeller2011

I'm in Jeddah these days and had to get 2 documents attested from the United Arab Emirates Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

As usual, there was a lazy guy with glasses sitting there. I'm glad that he spoke english, otherwise i had to rely on my Arab-inglish. He charged me 250 riyals in total.

But when i got the documents back, there was a stamp of 100 riyals on each of the documents.

So where did the 50 riyals go. Now I understand what UAE means by developing other industries than just petroleum.

They are developing their 'rip-people-off' their hard earned income.

Guys and girls, just beware, and ask for receipt when you pay the amount for visa or attestation at the counter. So in the end, if you don't see the stamp for the amount you paid, you can ask them to return the extra amount.

That extra amount cannot be mentioned as admin fee, as no other foreign office charges the admin fee. Whatever fee exits, is included in the amount which appears on the official stamp on your document.

Good luck dealing with th***!

I tend to give benefit of doubt to the whole consultate members here and u might have met the wrong person. No Consultate in public takes extra money without giving the receipt, may be that particular guy have understood ur urguency and took advantage. :)
