Receiving parcels from another country by mail

Post new topic

Guest903242

Hello:)

I have a friend sending me a parcel from the UK containing clothes, supplements, some beauty products and other goods. I am concerned about receiving and paying duty.

Also, I am interested in ordering items from miscellaneous countries including the US.

Can anyone offer me any advice on customs and duties? Also best way to ship to avoid scrutiny? Or are there any people who help arrange receiving goods to save on duties? Advice on how to pack the goods to minimise duties? etc.

We will be staying near the Kochi area.

Thank you very much for any advice you can offer!

Dont worry, if they are just clothing and other such goods (should not be a huge parcel), All the shippers usually clear the shipment and bring it to your home.  All you have to do is pay them at your home.

SHipments need to have clear bills on parcel, if it is a purchased one. Anyways all small valued parcels are cleared on the first hand.
