Hello from Hannover!

I am living in Aberdeenshire just now but moving to Germany in August. How is it? Im hoping to meet new people through this so it's not as scary moving over. What do you do over there?

It is still early days for me as I have also been travelling a bit but I am really enjoying it.  I am in Hannover, which I am finding easy to get around.  The biggest challenge for me was/is the driving, just getting used to "the other side of the road". 

Which part of Germany are you moving to?  What I have learned so far is that you really need to try and fit in ie learn the language, culture etc.  The gym/spa was a real eye opener for me, ie no swimming cossie!

I am in Human Resources and was lucky to get help with my move.  Accommodation can be expensive and be prepared for the apartments not to have much in them.  Apparently not uncommon for there not to be a kitchen! 

I am sure that there are loads of things that I could tell you but may not be of use depending on where you are going and what you are going to be doing.  Regardless, I am sure you will enjoy it and if I can help, let me know.

Sounds like youre really enjoying it so far....thats promising! Im moving to a place about an hour from Frankfurt. I plan to start German lessons while I still have the time before I move. Looks tricky though!
