hi
I have heard that NOC is trying to issue letters to expats to come back to work. But the biggest question is: how they are going to reach all expats when all sorts of communications are down....
and even the letters reach people, how on the earth people could go back and start working in these circumstances......
there are conflicting news.....one said that NOC has terminated all expats.
anyways lets pray and hope for the best for the people and the country where we spent good times and made some wonderful friends.
please inform if someone receive letter of any kind from NOC.
this is valid for NOC affiliated companies.

Seeing as none of the big service companies are even thinking of going back in the near future and you'd need a coefficient higher than Iraq's to be going back to what is effectively a war zone right now. Yup, good luck with that NOC.  Not that you ever listened to anyone else anyway :D

What exactly are we supposed to go back to?  Been informed that everything from my apartment has been taken, so i've lost everything I owned.  NOC and Waha can go screw themselves.

They did try and get one of our guys back in April, he told them to ram it. Might try and phone my mates at the office and find out what's happened at your place Flip, if I find anything out I will let you know.

Cheers lovely.  I'm absolutely gutted.  My entire life was in that apartment, and knowing i've lost everything is just soul destroying.  To be blunt, Waha was the first job where I could actually buy myself stuff without worrying about whether I could afford to eat or not!  Two years of my life where I treated myself to a few nice things, and helped my family and friends out financially, and it was basically all to be fucked over by Waha and their supposed 'safe' compound.  I know it's selfish to be upset about material stuff, but it's all I had.  And after the fun at the airport seeing BC staff with five or six suitcases after I was told to leave with a rucksack... the nice way of putting it is to say it leaves a foul taste in my mouth.  I won't publicise the nasty way of saying it...
