Australians do not take many things seriously. We use sarcasm a lot so if somebody says something that sounds a little bit strange or rude, it is often because they are joking. I have noticed when talking to people from places like the United States, South America and all of Asia that they never seem to realise when Im joking!!

Because Australia is a melting pot of so many cultures, there are not as many cultural dos and donts as you will find in many other countries. I am from a family of many cultures many of my family members were not even born in Australia. Australia seems to adopt other cultures and accept that not everybody is going to get it all right away.
