Is it worth taking the offer?

Post new topic

Hello People,

Myself Subhadeep from India planning to move to Kampala shortly with wife and no kids. The company is offering US$ 2500 per month+family accommodation+local transport+Visa & Air tickets.

Is it worth taking the offer? How much can I save? Any negotiation can I do further?

Looking for your valuable feedback.

Regards
Subhadeep

Is the offer before tax or after tax. You need to find out. Check this site for living costs www.numbeo.com .Saving depends on how you manage your costs.

It is after tax only.. Now please help

It is up to you about taking the offer or not.
Check out the living costs, include family medical cover and then make a decision.
No one else can make that decision for you.

Thanks Stumpy. I guess family medical cover will be taken care by employer.

No use just guessing about the medical cover.
I would ask the employer about insurance. Even if they do pay for medical insurance I would safely say it would be a very basic cover.
