Are you living in Guatemala? We need you to share your experience of the local customs :)

Is it difficult to adjust to the local customs in Guatemala?

Could you please share with us a list of the do's and don't's in Guatemala?

Thanks!

Bill Shetz

I have lived in Guatemala 13 years and I have personal space, I stand in line at the bank at least once a week, who looks for a confrontation? returns at the store I agree however there are exchanges for other items. On time in Guatemala means about 45 minutes late and no one dies of stress. The laws in Guatemala were designed for Guatemalans (we are guests). Everyone I meet on the street wishes me a Buenos Dias.
If everything here was like the states we couldn't afford to live here. When someone asks you "Where are you from?" say North America the United States. You see they are also Americans. It all has to do with YOUR attitude. Bill
