Hello everyone,

Living outside of our home country requires us to adapt to a new culture and different traditions. What are some of the cultural specifics in Hong Kong?

What are some of the traditional beliefs and cultural practices that you have encountered in Hong Kong that are different to your home country?

Tell us a bit more about some of the customs that you’ve found interesting, such as communication style, food, greetings, laws, or festivities.

What were your initial reactions and how did you adapt to them?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Narrow-minded.
The environment can effects the people. That's right.Been put inside an extremely tiny place,it's difficult to be generous.
I read a news that a mainland Chinese girl was hit by a truck in HK and lost her conscience, but All comments of local on the internet said,"haha, she should go to hell, dirty Chinese pig.""Why Must these things go to HKU to rob our degrees? She Must pay for that."
I can't deny a lot Hongkongaise are very very nice, but there really exist some amazing people.I can't figure out how Can they be So creative to believe mainland Chinese All went here to take away what belong to them.
I never think like that to those foreign students in my country. How ridiculous. And It shocked me how Can they hate All Chinese like that.
I just mean part of them.
