Hi all. I'm an Australian moving to Aarhus at the end of April but don't know anyone except my boyfriend and his Danish (and very blokey!) mates so would love to make a few friends to do a bit of socialising with to get to know the place with.

Anyone who feels like taking pity on a friend-less Ozzie, please let me know so we could arrange to meet up at some stage :-)

Cheers,

Jess

Hi, Jess. How are you? enjoying Aarhus?
Looks like this post is fairly old, but if you still need some company now and then, send me a message. I know how it feels, its not easy to get friends in another country. I'm going to a animal show (like the Adelaide show, if you know what I mean) on Friday - you can come if you want. My dad is bringing a horse to the show and Im going there to give him a hand and hopefully have a different day - I've never been there myself. Its taking place in Horsens.
Hope to hear from you,
xx Anne

Hi Anne,

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

Rocío G.S.

Hello¡ I am a Spanish girl, I am living in Aarhus since September with my boyfriend. He has some friends in the University. But I don't study here because I only needs one exam for finish my bachelor in Spain in June. I am looking for a job or a volunteering for meet people and practice my basic English.
I know is difficult find friends through internet but I need meet somebody¡ I am very bored¡

Can anybody help me?

Macaroni

Hi all

I've often thought of starting some sort of group, where danes and foreigners can meet. In here or somewhere else. Why?

Because it seems to me, that this site is used mainly by foreigners to meet foreigners - or am I completely wrong?

Guess that one of the most valuable things, when living in af foreign country, is getting to know the natives - and get acostumed with their language.

Any thoughs?

Yours truely Anne

Rocío G.S.

Yes "Macaroni", I think it is a good idea. My biggest problem is that I don't speak Danish yet. So I need to speak in English, although it isn't very good.
But I think it is not a problem because most of the Danes speak perfectly in English.
I want to meet people, doesn't matter his or her nationality, and I like the Danish people¡

Anyway I am in a group (meetup.com/Aarhus/), I have met some people, and there are many events. If somebody wants to join.

@ lucsan78 > Do note that you have posted on a very old thread here (2011) and that you may receive any response from the member Rocio.

If you do have some questions, it would be best if you can create a new thread. ;)

Also note that as we are on an english speaking forum, it would be best if you can communicate in english. It will help other members to understand you.

Have a nice day

Priscilla
