Hello everyone,

How is raising kids in Uganda different from raising kids in your home country?

What are the activities that your kids seem to enjoy the most in Uganda?

Do you feel that the country is "family-friendly"?

Do you recommend Uganda as a good place to raise kids? Why or why not?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Most schools offered tend to be private and a lot cheaper than abroad. The education also tends to be more advance than in Europe.

Definitely family friendly , uganda is about everyone bring up the child and good manners are promoted....along with respect for your elders....something that carries on into adulthood.

It is a good place......

I would agree with the other post in that there are lots of advantages to the private school system here.  And, I would say that anyone who is planning on raising kids "abroad" might want to investigate what is called, "Third Culture Kids." This refers to those children who are raised in cultures other than their passport country. I'm of the mind that the rewards outweigh the challenges, especially in the long run.
