New Years Celebrations in VN?

Post new topic

GuestPoster7825

I will be in SG on New Years Eve and curious what expats do to celebrate (in VN) besides drinking heavily......I'm pretty good at that!  :one

I'm sure Bui Vien and most of D1 should be rocking but I'm curious about the other districts....and other cities.

Thanks

Allan Gem

well some people only go to the city and watch the fireworks display sometimes in the river and sometimes at Bitexco Tower, and drink beer on some bars or skybars

Most of people will go to District 1 but I think District 2 is ok because many Foreigners stay here

I'll be staying in D4.... but D1 sounds like where the action is. Bui Vien is fun, but seems to be the same every time I go there. Pasteur St. micro-breweries may be a good choice, as well.

My gf (local) seems to think they will have fireworks, but I hear differently. NYE is not state supported, just Tet.

I'm curious if more conservative cities like Hue celebrate NYE?
:unsure

Season's Greetings!

NYE fireworks in several places across HCMC are also on the cards (pending govt. approval).
