Tipping

I would like to find out people's thoughts on "tipping" please? It seems everywhere  you go people expect to be rewarded even if the service is bad. Is it just me or is it getting worse? Many thanks.

Hi,
I'd say you can definitely tip according to the service quality. In Marrakesh there are so many tourists that locals are used to expect money even if they are only asked what time it is (not yet but close...).
Personally I tip anywhere between 5 and... 200 dhs depending on what kind of service we're talking about.
I'd say it's more a way of life than anything else, people are used to getting money for small services, it doesn't have to be much, the best way to learn how much you should give someone for a specific task is to ask a Moroccan friend how much he/she would give, that way people get the feeling that you're not just a random tourist and they can't push their luck by asking more :)
Hope this helped.

people are very greedy , especially when you are a tourist
tipping is not the only problem , overpricing is another one
so you may find yourself in this situation : OVER priced  + tip hhhhhh
