I would like to hear from everyone who has lived in both countries and hear the pros and cons in your opinion! Thank you

Costa Rica for rich people. Panama for poor people :D Permanent residence, houses and condos cost not the same. CR is more known for retired people that they want to live in a quiet area and Panama for people that want to work and go out.

Haha, altho the first part is largely true, its a lot more complicated than that.....and Panama is quickly catching up with C.R. in terms of cost......life is getting increasingly expensive in Panama, especially in the city.......and the cost of imported traditionally expensive items in C.R. has come down........Costa R. still has a better educated population and a better more fair less corrupt judicial system.. Panama judicial system sucks.....pure and simple........both countries are beautiful pieces of geography and have tremendous diversity of flora and fauna....hard to beat in that category.......C.R. has a more service oriented culture, and people are generally more polite, but you can find good and capable service in Panama too, but you have to really look for it or be recommended....Its not like its all over the place........its the exception  not the rule........plus the Chinese are takin over and it wont be long until they run everything here........And its not the most educated, cultured Chinese who are invading either, its the other end of the culture spectrum.........But that bullet train they have planned will be real nice......Cant wait to see it in action........But I will probably be living in Colombia or Ecuador or Peru or Thailand or the Philippines by the time it actually comes to pass...........
