Visit visa to family joining visa

Hi Rahgen,

The family joining visa can be processed even while the persons concerned are in Oman. However, the passport cannot carry two valid visas at the same time. So the visit visa must necessarily be cancelled before the family joining visa can get stamped.

Visa and such issues are usually dealt by the PRO of the company. But because of their laziness, many employees suffer differently. Typically, your HR should inform you prior to your visa's expiry. Yes, there would be a charge and you may need to bear the same if your company is small SME. It starts from OMR 5 that doubles per day. It is advisable to either extend the visit visa or transfer the family joining or to exit the country.
