Hey guys! I am trying to find some malay native speakers to assist me with my malay learning via wechat. I don't understand why wechat is not popular in Malaysia because I can't seem to find anyone at hinative..

Hey piano0011, it's great that you are trying to pick up a local language as a nonnative speaker!

Really love the idea of learning a new language using Instant Messaging apps! I shall use your method on top of my approach as I am learning a new language as well.

Anyways, I would suggest you to use WhatsApp instead of WeChat? Primarily because WeChat seems more popular among the Chinese population in Malaysia. The general public would most commonly be on WhastApp instead. You are more likely to find Malay speaking groups on WhatsApp instead.
