Dear all,
My brother has an interview for a research position at PSI, Villigen,Swiitzerland. What shall be the standard dress code. And how much salary is good enough to survive with basics in ZURICH.

Welcome to the Forum :)

I can't say how much as I am no expert in that field, but the usual attire for an interview is a suit, shirt and tie.

I would agree with SimCity, dress professionally and conservative.
The other question is too vague and too subjective to answer.  What are the "basics" supposed to mean for you?

Thank you, sir

Better overdressed than underdressed - so: suit and tie.
For salaries: look at www.lohnrechner.ch to find salaries for similar positions. It is usual that the future employer asks at the first job interview, what salary you expect, so prepare for that question.
PSI is not in the city of Zurich and you may find living outside Zurich much more affordable than Zurich city. If you insist on living in Zurich city: be prepared for sky high prices and a long search for accomodation.

Thank you. He got the position. Cheers.
