Hi there,

Which are your 10 favorite places to go out in Hamburg?

Which places would you recommend to newcomers? (restaurants, pubs, discos, theaters, cinemas, concert halls...)

Thanks!

Spoons

Hi, this is Spoons' girlfriend...

Well, it really depends on what kind of thing you are looking for, but I will gladly make a few suggestions:

Restaurants: I really love the SalaThai near the Hauptbahnhof
http://www.salathai.de/salathais/
and for Italian food Ristorante Taormina http://www.taormina-hamburg.de/

Pubs, well, I would say that *really* depends on what kind of person you are and what you are after, for example music-wise.
I love the Shamrock http://www.shamrockirishbar.com/

Theaters: I go by what's on, and if you like you can go visit the adorable English Theater http://www.englishtheatre.de/Home1.html

Cinemas:
Zeise-Kinos http://www.zeise.de/
Abaton http://www.abaton.de/
Streit's http://www.cinestar.de/de/kino/hamburg- … lmtheater/

Concert Halls: (this is rock/indie/punk music)
Docks http://www.docks.de/
Grosse Freiheit 36 http://www.grossefreiheit36.de/
Gruenspan http://www.gruenspan.de/
Molotow http://www.molotowclub.com/

There is so much choice in Hamburg, you'll just have to try..!

And if you don't want to spend money, just have a wander along the Elbe...preferably in the rain. It's fantastic!
