Cash Passport

Sandyadamsfamily

Hello

Can anyone advise whether I can use a Cash Passport in Phuket ?    I want to load my Bhat onto this card as I feel it is safer.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Sandy

I would like to know what a cash passport is, excuse my ignorance.

Not at all, it is a card your bank gives you,  with your money converted into Bhat, and you swipe it as you go.   It is widely used abroad, but someone mentioned that it does not work in Phuket, so I was just wondering

Oh, thank you.

I'm an American and I have a Schwab account/card. I put money into the account and with draw as I wish. I am in Chiang Mai and I have no problems with it. I assume the same would hold true with Phuket. Then again my circumstances may be different from yours.

Do they charge you for the currency conversion? Somebody's gotta be making money off of this.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.   Much appreciated

I have a Bidvest world currency card, and it worked all over Thailand. :)
