Artists and artisans in western PR?

We are considering a move to PR possibly in 2012. I am an textile artist with a lot of interest in crafts. Are there any areas in the west of the island where I might find like minded people? I am not that interested in making a living off my work - just being around like minded people. Any help/info would be appreciated.
