Hello,

We invite you to share some information regarding leisure activities that are free or low-cost in Jordan. This information will give future expats (or even current expats) an idea regarding some of leisure activities that they might not be aware of.

Is there a way to find out about free or low-cost fun activities in Jordan, such as a specific app, or a newsletter, or magazine, tourism board, etc.? How do you find out where events are organised?

What are the most common free leisure activities in Jordan?
Which free activities do you recommend for children, for teenagers, for adults, and for seniors?

Are there certain days where access to paid activities are offered at a lower price or even for free, such as museum entry, or exhibitions, or a theme park, etc.?

How do you maximise your leisure activities in the most cost-effective manner?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

I personally joined a gym and It's been very rewarding, lost some fat and gained some muscle, besides I made new friends.

I go diving in the city of Aqaba every now and then, it's moderately priced and you have lots of fun with the marine life.

Sometimes I go to Java coffee shop down at the dead sea, it has tasty coffee and a great view.

I went camping in Dana animal reserve once, it was a nice trip but intimidating considering I know nothing about camping, I mean hearing howling coming from nearby  in the middle of the night while you are in your tent was a bit scary hehe :)

I you want free/cheap events check https://karasi.com/ , they have musical/theatrical events in Arabic and English.

I hope I helped anyone who is looking for this info!
