Hello newyorker247, Welcome to SG! If you like to eat kimchi, make sure you bring some here...as I have yet to taste a good kimchi although we have many korean shops here :)

Welcome to Expat.com!

There are quite a few discussions on this forum that explain about the vital aspects for a globe trotter wanting to relocate here in Singapore. However, I would be pleased to address if you have specific concerns.

Look forward to meeting you on this wonderful island :)

I can tell you a good place to buy korean kimchi.. :)
Well..I'm not a korean, but I love korean food :) (maybe I was a korean my past life..)

Hope you will enjoy S'pore (although I feel the weather is rather hot) I much prefer the 4 seasons..

Is there a list or a site where I can address my kimchi needs? I think I will miss it for the time being while in SG. Hahaha.

There are quite a number of Korean Restaurants in SG but don't be too happy, not all is good..I found one at Amara Hotel level 2 is not bad..if you do find one that is of your standard do let me know..(you see, my problem is, I have been to Korea and tried the best..so it is hard for me to find competitively good ones)
As for the Korean shops, there are quite a few, you can try Marina Sq (its quite a big shop for groceries) or you can try behind Amara Hotel, there's a shop there.. :)
