Moving to Dublin

Hi,

My wife and I are currently living in Australia and looking at relocating to Dublin in the next few months (wife is Irish). We are trying to work out what areas of Dublin would be nice to live and where to look for a nice rental for about 6 months while we look to purchase. I am looking for some recommendations or pointers on where to start to look, any help would be much appreciated.
