Hello all, Very curious about Oaxaca. It looks like the perfect place to go but I have read there is issues in accessing water during the dry period? Anyone know about this?

Why is Oaxaca your perfect place, may I ask?

I lived there in the mid 80s for a couple of years.   The house had a pool so if there was a water problem I would have know.

But if there is a water problem in Oaxaca I doubt it changes at the border with Chiapas or Guerrero.  Water availability is an intraregional thing, and a climate thing, and if the zone has a lot of agriculture, or a lack if rain.  It's kind of dry there .. in general.  Look up average annual  rail fall on the web.  That should be a clue.  It's a poor state so water management might not be a spending priority for the government.
