Post new topic

ggadoya88

Hi,

I am from Mumbai, India and currently working in the United Arab Emirates.

By qualification have completed MBA - Finance & Master's in Management Studies.
I have been applying online for jobs in the Netherlands but is there any other way to get a job in the Netherlands.

Thanks in advance for proper directions.

Regards,
Gaurav Mahesh Gadoya

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Most agencies/companies won't even respond to your e-mails when they realise you don't speak Dutch; that said, there are some multi-nationals in Holland where the working language is English, so you need to look for those and try applying directly to them.

I always look at job seeking like this; you need 4 key things to get a well-paid job anywhere in the world:

Relevant qualifications - you have a degree/MBA, so that's OK
Relevant experience - you haven't said, but stick to your strengths
Speak the local language - you don't speak Dutch
Luck - the big thing that you will always need, everyone, needs this

From what you've written about yourself; as you set out on your quest, you have at best a 50% chance; then you need to consider that you are competing with local candidates who speak the local language, so effectively who have at least a 25% lead on you.  So in reality, you need to do something about that and learn Dutch.

The other things you can do to try and exploit the Luck part is to apply to the multi-nationals in Holland.

Hope this helps.
