Has anyone ever thought of selling on Lazada or Shopee? I see Levi 501 jeans selling on Lazada for P5,099 at the Levi Flagship Store. How many pairs of jeans will fit in a balikbayan box? If you could get 50 in a bb box the shipping would be $2 a pair or less. Sell for a $20 profit and make $1,000 on each shipment. Levis are just an example I thought of, the hard part is coming up with a US product that would sell here and small enough to fit a bunch in a bb box.

Before retiring I visited a refinery in Laurel, Montana quarterly. There was a guy there who was involved with a deaf children's school in the Philippines through his church. The guy was an avid fly fisherman and knew everything about fly tying which is a bit of an art. He gave the boys at the school lessons in how to tie flies and they aced it. Every time I visited the refinery I asked how the business was going. At first he had a few orders but it grew into something big, I'm talking orders for hundreds of flies. There is only a few cents worth of material in a fly but quality flies sell for real money. He originally just wanted to earn a few bucks to help run the school but ended up making the school totally self sufficient. He said shipping back to the US is a little expensive, but you can fit hundreds of flies in a shoe box.
