Hello,

I got a job offer from a malaysian company. I am going Malaysia for the first time along with my wife.
My Recruiter has submitted EP and DP together before 2 weeks.
Our application is showing "Decision" status since more than 1 week.

I am little worried now as it has been almost two weeks but still the approval has not came yet.

I wanted to know that how much processing time it takes for the approval of EP and DP?

What are the next steps after getting the Visa Approval letter?

What is the process after reaching Kuala Lumpur?

Please guide me!

Thanks,
Karan

Gravitas

Two weeks is quite quick. The "Decision" phase is the final one. Before that there are other processes that have to be completed, such as approval of the industry body in which you work plus a security check. You should get the result within 5 days.

Indian nationals need a Visa with Reference to enter Malaysia for working purposes.

The VDR approval is sometimes in the same document as the Visa Approval. If not, the company will then apply for the VDR separately. Did you inform the company where you will get the VDR into your passport?  The choice is Mumbai, Chennai or Delhi but there are legititmate companies who can get it for you, for a fee.

You need to have flight bookings to apply for the VDR in India.

Chennai OSC Center told me that Flight booking is not necessary for VDR

Thanks for the update.  Perhaps they need to update their website

"Confirmed Air-Ticket with flight details and E- ticket number."

Yes I have told them that I want to do VDR  on Passport at Mumbai location.
Is it possible for me to check the status of Application in MDEC because the process of application is done by the company?

Gravitas

Unfortunately mdec don't have a n online checker.

Good news is mdec issue VDR and VAL in one document so slightly longer decision phase but quicker overall

After arriving on VDR passports are sent by employer for endorsement of the EP and DP respectively

Thank you for the reply Gravitas!!!

My EP and DP are approved and I will receive the VDR letter from MDEC in a day or two.

I wanted to know what all things or documents I will require to get my Stamping done at the Mumbai Embassy in India?

Things which I know is:
1) VDR letter from MDEC
2) Original Passport of Myself and my Wife.
3) Flight Ticket

Apart from the above things, what else i will require to submit at Mumbai VFS for Stamping?

Do I need to make any Payment for EP and DP at Mumbai VFS for Stamping?
If yes then what is the Payment amount for EP and DP at Mumbai VFS?

Please guide!

Thanks

The documents are described in detail here

Just pay for the VDRs in Mumbai - see links above for pricing.  But double check this with High Commission and which type of payment methods they receive.

MDEC don't have an online checker but ESD does https://esd.imi.gov.my/portal/application-status/
