I am American.

I am engaged.

I am from the US. I met my fiancé while in vienna Austria. We have applied to get married in Austria in July, 2018.
He is a refugee that does not have his positive status yet for Austria.

I WANT TO MOVE TO AUSTRIA AND LIVE THERE WITH MY HUSBAND UNTIL WE ARE APPROVED TO LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES.

BUT I do not work.

Please tell me I can stay with him. What can I do to make this happen?

Please please help me.
Thank you!

HI,
so I guess you're having a tourist visa?
I guess you have to apply for a working visa and find a job there. I think this is going to be a little bit complicated but I wish you all the best!

Llamakitty

No, I cannot do most jobs, maybe work at home.

I only have a passport.

Can't I stay in Austria because I am married to a refugee and the judge  will not give him a passport to leave austria?

Meanwhile we will apply for a married visa in the United States.

Please give me a loophole or shred of hope that I can stay with my husband.

And thanks for writing☺

I would talk to an Immigration lawyer. But to answer your question, just because you are married does not give you automatic right to stay in Austria. You still need some kind of visa.

SimCityAT

How long have you been in Austria? U.S. citizens do not need an entry permit (visa) to stay in Austria as either tourists or on a business trip for a period of up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

I'm going in july.
I want to stay.
I can't go home.

Llamakitty

Thank you so much. I just wrote them.
