Hello 👋 folks!

I am a Canadian citizen seeking some information on Oman / UAE residence permits. I met a GCC business family on a trip. They approached me for expanding their business in North America in future. However they wanted me to travel around GCC nations on business trips, keeping Oman or UAE as a base. They are happy to apply for resident visa for one of these two nations. The people who offered me a position runs business in all GCC nations except Saudi.

Now, I have been reading some posts which talks about minimum requirements of staying in the country is 6 months while you're on a residence permit or Employment visa for UAE or Oman.

I am looking for a Visa that allow me to travel for freely for business purposes in GCC nations at the same time I would not want to leave Canada for more than 6 months in a year.

Can anyone suggest what's the most appropriate visa in this case? - Business / Employment or Investor Visa.

Late reply, but just in case it helps you or someone else. I think you may have understood the visa requirements incorrectly. If you have an Oman Employment Visa, you cannot stay out of Oman for more than 6 months without the visa getting cancelled. That actually means you just need to "visit" Oman once every six months to keep your visa, the period of visit can be just a day. So you can actually theoretically stay in Canada for upto 363 days every year
