Hi Everyone.

I recently had an offer from my work to move from UK to Texas Houston area. Having only been with the company 3 months, this is an amazing offer which I would jump at if single, but I come with a husband and two young girls (under 5).

Also we have a support system as my folks and bro are nearby.

So my question is: (a) has anyone moved for work and did your partner find work easily (husband has high school diploma and enjoys manual labour like building/maintenance), and (b) how did the kids settle? My youngest is 18 months, so is the childcare quite good and is the cost reasonable?

You might plan on using your husband to keep the kids, his prospects would not be very good for work that would cover baby sitting.
