Internship for foreigners

Hi, I am looking for a 3 months internship in HR management in Kuala Lumpur. I am currently taking a master in this field and I think that this could be a great opportunity to my professional degree.
I already have 3 years of experience as a business consultant but I decided to orientate to a different approach.
However I have been applying to. Many internships for almost a month and I always got the same answer:NOT SUITABLE.
I am not sure if this is because of my previous work experience or because I am Spanish and they are looking for Malaysian new citizens only. Anyway, I have always applied to the ones that do not require bahasa...

So basically I am writing here because of two things:
1. If anyone has or knows about a potential vacancy for me, please let me know. I am not looking for allowance nor visa sponsorship I just want to learn and do my best in this field.
2. Does anyone know why I keep getting refused from all the companies I applied for? Are there any requirements for foreigners to do internships here? Do I need to be on a student visa prior to find any internship?

Thank you so much!

Difficult to get internships for foreigners (especially people who are not from ASEAN) because of the immigration hassle involved for the company to get an appropriate visa.

ur probably knocking on wrong doors. As a foreigner, youd prob need to put alot more effort for application than the local. Getting an internship tho is much easier than a job. Their are outlet that hire foreign inters.  For example, aiesec.

Didn't think Masters required any internship. HR is a local career, so employment is almost impossible to find. The mantra goes like this "if there is a qualified local who can do the job, hiring a foreigner is not required".

Too many people are reading university website literature promising jobs on graduation, not realising that they are written for local Malaysians to encourage them to apply (in a time of high unemployment amonst the youth). Unfortunately there is no job guarantee after studying in Malaysia.

Try pharmaceutical industry websites? example
Abbott
takeda
General electric Malaysia
Novartis

I know they have a special program for interns, the process is easy and the waiting period may be quick provided the reponses from both sides are quick.
Good luck and Cheers
