My experience in Italy

Post new topic

I am from Nigeria , I have been here in Italy for almost three years , though I found Italy to be a place that would have been the best  place for Africans because they over look some breakage of minor rules they based it on inglorance .

But the language barrier does not make it a sweet place for me though the Italians are ready to accept a weak Italian language but it limited my expression because low percentage of Italy speaks English .

My other challenge here is job scarcity which live me with the choice of relocating to another European country . but if not for the unemployment I wou have love to stay here and learn the language though it is less of use globally . the cost of feeding here is low but housing is on a high side

Italy is living its worst economic crisis in more than 70 years. Only during the second world war things were so bad. There are no chances to find a good employment. With so many people without a job one has to accept unfair wages in awful conditions (and often in illegal terms). Given that the Italian poor people themselves see their healthcare and opportunities cut and eroded by balance budget requirements, immigrants begin to be seen negatively a lot more than before.

There are no chances of acquiring expertise or skill while one is here either, and bordering EU countries are making always more difficult to cross their borders (see the buses full of immigrants France is sending back daily).

As the last straw there's the unbalanced males/females ratio of immigrants. Both in the short and the long time this will have huge negative consequences for refugees, immigrants, and locals as well.
