Hey!  I'm getting ready to travel to Brussels in a few weeks but am looking for a place to live!  I'd really like to find a group of people who want to travel and sightsee on weekends. Let me know if you can help me out :)

Christine

Hi jberglund,

Welcome on Expat-blog! :)

I have moved your topic on the Brussels forum for better visibility.

Concerning the accommodation, i suggest you to view the Brussels classifieds > accommodation section and post an advert there as well.

Wish you good luck
Christine

A runaway Hawkeye? :)

Jb, I would recommend appartager.be they have quite a few short term flats/rooms available. That would be the easiest, IMO. Some of those will allow you to pay by the day/weekend.

There's also couchsurfing.com as well.

It would be best to learn the basics of French if you can, as it will help tremendously around here. If not you should still be able to manage a little bit. Just be patient.

Bring Euro's before hand if you can, some of the places here will try to rob you blind with exchanges.
