Hi Guys,
We see that the rail links in Porto are great and we may look at renting in Gondomar. Is this a good area?  we are happy as long as town, beaches and airport are around 30 minutes away.
Thanks

I really like the riverfront at Gondomar, there's a boardwalk from Palácio de Freixo that looks like it was renovated in recent years and continues for about 3km upriver.

The metro line ends at Fânzares, on the north side (away from the river), so the transport advantage is up there.

Besides Rio Tinto, the train stations are north of Gondomar, though. So if your rental is far from metro and train, the one other public transit option is the bus.

Thank you for the location review, and yes I agree, I fell in love with the view over the river and hope by the end of this week my new home is secure.

Even picked my fiscal registration up. Lots more to learn.
